Scrapbook Layout: Prom

Back today with another layout using old photos, from my school Prom in 2010. As you can see I layered a lot of patterned paper and outlined all the layers, which is something I really like doing at the moment.

In terms of embellishment I kept it really simple with a few doilies, some little hearts that I hand cut, and a few tabs etc from the October Afternoon Farm Girl Tidbits.

My title is white glitter Thickers that I REALLY need to get some more of, I love them!

Hope you're having a lovely day,

Scrapbook Layout: Selfie Love

Back with another scrapbook layout! This one is all to do with how I tried to focus on liking myself again throughout February and March, I'm not very self confident and so I set myself the challenge of posting selfies every few days on Instagram, to see if it improved my confidence. By the end, I was perfectly happy taking a photo and posting it even if I had messy hair, no makeup on or was pulling a stupid face. You'd be surprised what can boost your confidence!
I just printed the instgrams, and used my current scrapbooking kit that I blogged about HERE to create a simple layout.

If you're feeling a bit low in yourself or you're lacking confidence, you really should try this challenge like I did, it really made me feel better about how I look etc.

Have a lovely day!

Scrapbook Layout: Leaving School

Just as a quick note, I've blurred out the name of the school I went to :)
I'm currently waiting for a delivery of more recent photos to scrapbook, but today I decided to go back and do some layouts with older photos. I finished Year 11 (I guess the equivalent of 9th/10th grade in American High School?) in May 2010 and never got round to scrapping these photos. I actually want to do a few pages with my photos from leaving school, but these are two of my favourites.

My background paper is from Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic, and I used random scraps from my paper stash to back my photos. I've seen a couple of people outline all their layers on their page and wanted to try it out here, and I LOVE how it looks. I think it really makes everything more defined. I did a little bit of journalling and added a few tidbits from the Farmgirl collection at October Afternoon... but my favourite part of this page is the "The World is Your Oyster" postcard I got in Paperchase. It fit with the colour scheme, and also with the feelings you have when you leave school. Before I went to college and then university I had so much hope for the future and really felt like I could do anything, it was a real high in my life and I remember feeling so happy. How times change eh!
If you've got any questions don't hesitate to ask, and I hope you're all well.

Monday Memories #9 (Current Scrapbooking Kit)

I've decided that Monday Memories from now on is just going to be something to do with scrapbooking, so sometimes I will share a video, sometimes I will share a layout, and other times it'll be something random!
Today I thought I'd show you the supplies that I'm currently scrapbooking with... I find that when you start to build up quite a big stash of supplies it can be really overwhelming to choose what to use, so when I get a lot of new stuff I incorporate it into a sort of kit. That way, all my favourite stuff is on hand and it's easy to get to.
At the moment I'm using three 6x6 paper pads, (Amy Tangerine Yes Please, Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic and Crate Paper Pretty Party) These are really good for backing photos or adding small amounts of patterned paper. If you do a project like Project Life they'd be brilliant for that too. My favourite embellishments like little tabs, tags or journalling spots are the ones from October Afternoon, and I have ones from the Midway, Cake Walk and Farmgirl collections. They're so cute and easy to use. In terms of other embellishments, I really like paper doilies, little pearls or gems, American Crafts stickers from all their collections, banners, enamel dots or other die cut shapes.
If I want to do any writing on a layout, I normally use journalling cards from My Mind's Eye. They're cute, affordable and there are hundreds of different designs. I never used to journal on layouts but I've found that I like being able to see my handwriting, and see how I thought about things at the time.
You've seen from layouts I've shared before that I really like using big letter stickers for titles, but lately I've been LOVING these little Tiny Type letter stickers from Cosmo Cricket... you get so many in a pack and they're brilliant for little subtitles.
And now for the best bit, patterned paper! I don't use these as backgrounds, these are for creating layering on my pages etc. All of the sheets you can see on here are from American Crafts, mostly Amy Tangerine Yes Please, or Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic/Neapolitan.
So there you go, that's most of the stuff I'm using in my scrapbooks lately! If you've got any questions let me know :)

Memory Mondays #8

I didn't post a layout last Monday as I was super busy, so I thought I'd do something a little different this week... here is a video of me creating a layout! :) Hope you enjoy it.
