Christmas Haul in October?! | Craft Items & Pet Toys

Hi everyone!

So, I went a little Christmas crazy. I LOVE Christmas, it's my favourite time of year (cliché, I know) and I'm always giddy with excitement by the time it comes around in December. This year though, things are going to be pretty rubbish (it's the first Christmas without my Nan, and my boyfriend is away from the 6th December-2nd January... in Africa. With a girl. Yeah, it's going to be pretty horrendous).

But anyway, I tend to let myself wallow in misery and I really don't want to do that this year! Christmas is still my favourite holiday and I'm determined to make the best of things. As a result, I've been doing some Christmas shopping, and getting all my crafty bits and pieces ready to document the Christmas season.

I went a little nuts in Hobbycraft, practically emptying the Christmas section! Then, I popped by Pets at Home and picked up a load of Christmas themed-toys for the bunnies to enjoy in December. Because you know, pets need presents too. Obviously ;)

I filmed and uploaded a video of all the goodies last week, if you'd like to have a looksie at what I bought! There's just too much to list it all here:

I hope you're all having a good week!

PS: Have you entered my Kawaii Box giveaway? You can find it here :)

Kawaii Box! | October Unboxing and Review

Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a good week.

I have a pretty post today, one that I've been excited to share! I received my first Kawaii Box* this week, and I wanted to unbox it and review it for you.
I came across the Kawaii Box company through YouTube and, intrigued, I decided to check out their website. I was surprised to see a tab at the top titled "For Bloggers", and of course I clicked on it!

As it turns out, you can apply to be their reviewer of the month: they will send a box to you free of charge, in return for an honest review. I was thrilled when my application was accepted, and my box arrived last week!

First of all, some details:
  • The Kawaii Box is a monthly subscription, but you can unsubscribe at any time
  • Each box is $18.90 (roughly £11-12)
  • They ship for free, worldwide!
  • The boxes ship from Singapore, but mine only took a week to arrive
  • You receive between 10-12 handpicked kawaii items... so you're only paying roughly £1 per item!
As you can see from the photos, and the video below, I received some absolutely adorable items including:
  • An adorable plushie
  • A squishie phone/planner charm
  • Hairbands/bracelets
  • A packet of sweets
  • A gorgeous face cloth
  • A cosmetic bag
  • A little cat pencil sharpener
  • A Hello Kitty pen
  • Cupcake stickers
  • Phone gem stickers
  • A teddy bear snailmail notecard
The contents of the box is so varied, and if you're into kawaii items you will go nuts for this. As I was going through the items I just couldn't believe the value for money, and everything put a massive smile on my face. I could think of so many of my friends who would love this, and I think a subscription would make the perfect gift for someone who is into Asian culture and can't get hold of kawaii things here. Unfortunately I'm not in the financial position currently to subscribe, however if I had a few spare pennies, I 100% would! Everything was packaged beautifully in pink tissue paper, and it really was a joy to receive.

The wonderful people over at Kawaii Box have also offered me the opportunity to run a giveaway for you guys! If you'd like to win your own Kawaii Box, check back for a separate post in a few days :)

For those who'd like to watch it, here is my video review!

If you're interested in the Kawaii Box, perhaps you'd like to subscribe or maybe you'd even like to be a future reviewer of the month, make sure you pay a visit to the website

Is this something you're interested in? Do you think you'll subscribe? Let me know in the comments!

October Gossamer Blue Kit! | Project Life Scrapbooking

So it's no secret, I have a love affair with scrapbooking. So much so, that I was finding myself spending hundreds every few months on scrapbooking supplies... and obviously on a student budget that really isn't feasible. Soooo I'm sure I've told you all of this before, but basically I thought that subscribing to a scrapbooking kit would help me curb my spending, but also allow me to continue documenting my life. It's worked!

I've been receiving the Gossamer Blue Life Pages kit (their version of a Project Life kit, kind of) since June, and I'm completely head-over-heels in love with it. Every month, for the bargain price of £20.50 (including postage!) I get enough scrapbooking supplies on my doorstep to last me the month, and as of yet I haven't been disappointed by a single kit.

It does ship from the US, so I receive my kit a few days after everyone else, but that really doesn't bother me and it's 100% worth the money. I only included a sneaky, blurry photo as I'd love for you to watch my video/go onto the Gossamer Blue website and really see the kit for yourself... however, I appreciate that some of you will just want to know, in black and white, what items I received this month. Here's a little list:
  • 24 3×4 journaling cards – Traci Reed for Gossamer Blue
  • 6 4×6 journaling cards – Traci Reed for Gossamer Blue
  • Stamp Set – Concept by Michelle Wooderson, manufactured by Elle’s Studio
  • Acrylic Pieces – One Little Bird for Gossamer Blue
  • Vellum Pieces – One Little Bird For Gossamer Blue
  • Wood Pieces – Traci Reed for Gossamer Blue
  • Mint Julep Ride Label Stickers – My Mind’s Eye
  • One random Just Sayin’ Photo Overlay – My Mind’s Eye
  • Scrumptious Brads – Chickaniddy Crafts
  • Nine & Co. Alpha Stickers – Teresa Collins
You also receive some free cut files and printables! I must admit, I don't make enough use of the printables.

I was so enamoured with this month's kit that I filmed a little first impressions video:

I hope you're all well!

Harry Potter Studio Tour! | Sept. 2014

It feels like WEEKS since I last sat down to write a proper blogpost... probably because it is! I've just published a little stationery haul video, but I wanted to tell you all about my trip to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour in St. Albans recently.

I'm a Potter Nerd. I really am, and I'm not even ashamed. A few years ago I was one of the first million people allowed to use Pottermore, I could probably recite the whole book series to you and people who have only watched the films and then call themselves fans... well, they make my blood boil! (Sorry to any of you who may be reading this post, haha)

My boyfriend knows how much I love Harry Potter, and so he bought us tickets to visit the tour for our anniversary (which was all the way back in July!) I was beside myself with excitement, and when the doors to the Great Hall opened I felt like I could cry! From beginning to end, the tour is absolutely incredible and was so worth the money. I felt completely overwhelmed, and seeing the level of detail that goes into the films was just amazing.

If you're a Harry Potter fan you really need to visit the tour; I'm hoping to take my Nan there for Christmas as she's desperate to go. The studio is really easy to get to via the motorway, and it's all really well organised. The gift shop is fabulous too!

Here's a brief little video:

Have a lovely evening guys :)

Stationery & Scrapbooking Goodness | Haul

Hello everyone!

It's been forever since I posted, I know. Work and university is so intense, and I only have time to create content for my blog OR YouTube channel... as my channel is growing quite rapidly at the moment, I'm afraid that it has been winning!

Anyway, I am back today with a good old fashioned stationery and scrapbooking haul. A couple of weeks ago I was browsing my YouTube subscriptions, and I came across a video that was discussing a "Linky Box". As it turns out, a "Linky Box" is actually a stationery subscription box, run by a company called Linky's Dream. Unfortunately these were out of stock when I had a look at the site (she now has a few extras up for grabs!) but I bought a gorgeous selection of other things from her.

Leah is a lovely lady and personalises EVERYTHING, even the parcel itself was wrapped in tissue paper that had my name spelled out in stickers.

I just wanted to make a little video showing everything I bought (and some extras) as the company was such a joy to order from. Please do go and check out the website!

I hope you enjoy the video and that you're having a lovely evening!
